Einsteins Theory of Spiritual 🌞 Light

Applying a bit of poetic license, but referring to Walter Isaacson’s , “Einstein : His Life and Universe.”
Einstein did not believe the universe was simply a collection of random events ; in fact , he set out to prove , and did prove , many theories to explain much about the universe and its laws of nature .
Those things he couldn’t explain , he alluded to a higher Being having a plan which was simply not disclosed to humans , nor discernible.
In that sense , he would say he was a very religious man.
Having recently visited the house that Albert Einstein and his wife lived in for a number of years while they were in Bern , Switzerland, and reading a bit of his biography, his views on God , faith , spirituality and religion , it struck me as he devoted his life to proving and discovering many theories which explained the unexplainable. He was practical , bright , curious and completely devoted to explaining forces of nature which governed our existence and experiences.
He would not acknowledge a God that was somebody everyone prayed to for getting them through tough times or being behind the scenes to pull the strings to change the outcome of daily activities , but again he would say he was a religious man.
The very practical pursuit of the unexplainable and the process behind many things consumed his waking hours, and those things he could not observe or explain, he attributed to a part of another plan, not visible to us, but explainable by someone unknown. Faith and religion are funny things in that they are not tangible or evidenced by most of us .
An example ; sometimes a five minutes sermon is most powerful, and today I heard a young priest challenge us as to whether we would accept Jesus when our time comes like a stranger knocking on our door to sell us something we don’t want , or would we accept him with a warm welcome and feeling as we would offer to a dear friend?
As I was contemplating this message, silently praying for our family and expressing gratitude for them in my life, A ray of sunshine appeared just at that time from a small window at the top of the church otherwise dimly lit. It shown only on me and lasted a minute . The proverbial light bulb above my head….
That light symbolically projecting grace and and rays of enlightenment punctuating this moment and my thoughts from something that is unknown to me, but came at exactly the right time.
It was like shining a light on the things that are most important offering a little bit of intervention and highlighting something unexpected , albeit I certainly understand it’s a part of nature.
Well, I’m no Einstein, but what I might like most about Albert Einstein is his theory of religion ; that is not supported by the countless math formulas experiments, and research but the reasoning of a man who devoted his whole life to discovering that which we could not explain.
It’s not as formulaic as e=mc2 and it’s no surprise the sun rises in the morning, but even the most brilliant and creative marvel at the religion/beliefs and mysteries of everyday life.
Maybe we should take notice now and then too , and believe in something religious the way Albert did.
