Pardon the play on words but I thought it a good title while attempting to look at the juncture between quantum physics -social media -everyday life.
Seems to me in some ways life is a series of almost infinite points in time.
I have to confess that almost every day my curiosity gets me in trouble, and I am reminded about the dozens and hundreds of things I know little about but am prompted to inquire more.
Throw quantum physics or quantum computing into that mix.
Hang in there, I'll attempt to connect the dots quickly: it seems life is a lot about points in time- inferring with quantum physics , one can be in two places at the same time or anywhere in between.
Social media or FOMO, fear of missing out; we may be intrigued by what others have and wanting to trade places.
This occurred to me while I was walking in a resort community and being a little older (but not too old) gentleman and observing a young family walking or exploring/playing and how inviting that looked. It could have been my wife and I and our daughters years ago or it could be our daughters and their husbands and our grandkids right about now.
Was that what it was like for us, was it us, is it like that for our kids today, did I enjoy it then as much as it looks enjoyable?! Or is it about making the most of a point in time?
Knowing that it's natural to pass through life in a seemingly infinite number of points in time with one perspective or perhaps countless multiple perspectives?
Katy will tell you I am OCD about questions- not always a compliment if you're on the receiving end- and she would be right- sometimes it helps me to process.
So, multiple dimensions, being in two places at one time, time travel or being transported through multiple experiences or perspectives simultaneously...... I don't know, but good to think about, to imagine.
Live and enjoy the dimensions you are in, where you've been and what the future might hold.
So, back to quantum physics: a lot of smart scientists will tell you what they can do with atomic particles to build computers in order to calculate infinite possibilities in no time whatsoever, so why not think beyond that?
Begs the age-old question; does life imitate science and technology or technology and science imitate life?
While brilliant people tackle this, there are lessons to learn, thoughts to think, perspectives and choices to make in our universe of endless possibilities.
Keep curious, keep challenging and keep choosing no matter what dimension you happen to be in.
Perhaps a whole different interpretation of something we hear every day:
Been there, done that!
